I'd like to emphasize that we come from a variety of different backgrounds (including international backgrounds!) and have a plethora of fandoms among us.

[livejournal.com profile] achacunsagloire has a degree in English and a minor in creative writing. She's been writing for over 10 years and is an avid reader. Her primary fandom these days is Resident Evil, but she's written for Silent Hill, Tomb Raider, X-Men: Evolution, Wolverine and the X-Men, and various real people/bands.

[livejournal.com profile] ariestess is a former English major and has been writing for 40 of her 47 years of life. She is primarily a stickler for grammar & punctuation, and has an unhealthy obsession with commas (particularly the Oxford comma). Her primary fandoms are Babylon 5, Damien, Once Upon a Time, Poltergeist: the Legacy, West Wing, and Wicked (book & musical).

[livejournal.com profile] chiroho has spent his career writing, editing, and polishing just about every form of customer communication for various software companies. He is a lover of words, writing, and proper usage, and has become the person many seek out for proofreading, editing, and polishing their work. Originally from Australia, though now living in the US, he has been writing and editing fanfic since the late 1990s. His favourite fandoms include Person of Interest, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Farscape, and Stargate SG-1.

[livejournal.com profile] chomiji spent 10 years of her career working as a copy editor/writer. Since then her editorial writing skills have been put to task working on technical newsletters, documentation, and a daily interest column. She has a long history with fandom, including writing RPG packages and fanfiction. Her current favorite fandoms are the manga series Saiyuki, Samurai Deeper Kyo, and Black Lagoon, Pratchett's Discworld, and Hodgell's Chronicles of the Kencyrath.

An innate grammar maven, she's been writing and betaing fanfic since joining LiveJournal in 1995. She writes mostly in the Stargate and Due South fandoms, but she reads and recs like a fannish butterfly.

She has served as a writer, beta reader, and cheerleader, and is known to nitpick with the best. Her fandoms are myriad and diverse, but her favorite fandoms are Saiyuki, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Sherlock, Kyou Kara Maoh!, Weiss Kreuz, and Yami no Matsuei.

[livejournal.com profile] melayneseahawk is a grammar nerd with a love of unused and abused tenses. She has been writing original fiction for almost 20 years and fanfiction for over a decade. [livejournal.com profile] purenegative is a secondary school English teacher, and is currently studying for her postgraduate degree in education. She loves to write plays and poems, and occasionally writes fanfiction. Some of her fandoms include The Avengers, X-Men: First Class, Torchwood, Thor (MCU), and the most recent Journey into Mystery run.

She has many fandoms, but her current favorites are Stargate: SG-1, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Harry Potter, Fullmetal Alchemist, and the DC TV universe.

A dinosaur of fandom, she has been writing fanfic since 1978 and has edited several fanzines. She is currently most active in the Tin Man, Rat Patrol, and Barney Miller fandoms, but also enjoys many others, including I Spy, Wild Wild West, and Star Trek.
