The purpose of this community is to provide fandom with a resource for answering questions about writing, grammar, syntax, and language. We're hoping this will develop into a valuable resource for fanfic writers and betas, and fans who know English as a second language.

What Resources Are Here?
You'll find answers and articles written by the Fandom Grammarians, fellow fans who are knowledgeable and passionate about writing, grammar, and language. The Fandom Grammarians will be answering your questions in weekly posts and posting features and other content about writing, grammar, and language.

Where Can I Ask a Question?
You can submit your writing, grammar, and language questions at the Query Post (comments are screened), or if you're not a livejournal user, you can email fandomgrammar@gmail.com

How Can I Be A Fandom Grammarian?
If you think you have what it takes, please email your background information to fandomgrammar@gmail.com and explain why you want to be a Fandom Grammarian.
Applications for Fandom Grammarians are open during January/February each year. Please check the community for exact dates.

Might I inquire as to when applications for fandom grammarians may reopen?

We'll get the comm running and see how things are handling, if our current grammarians decide they don't have time for it, if we want to expand and post articles more often, etc. I expect to reevaluate everything in about a month so the earliest will probably be in late November.

Hang around (comment to posts to further discussions!) and I'll keep your name in my mind.

Can I still watch the community?

Absolutely! Anyone can watch/friend the community, there isn't any way for a maintainer to alter that. :)
